August 10, 1957Mary Wearda Dies at Farm After Illness
Mary Catherine Wearda, 12, died Friday [August 9, 1956] at her farm home near Rockwell following an illness. She lived throughout her life in the Rockwell community and was in seventh grade in Sacred Heart Academy of Rockwell.
She was born June 22, 1945 at Rockwell, daughter of Herman and Anna (Kelly) Wearda.
Surviving are her father, H.J. Wearda of Rockwell; two sisters Mrs. Elmer (Joan) Bohl of Mason City, and Miss Ruth Wearda at home; two nephews John Steven Bohl and Michael Alen Bohl of Mason City. She was preceded in death by her mother in July 1951, a brother Dennis in January 1951 and by her grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell. Father Raymond Bohrer will officiate. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rockwell.
Friends may call at the Wearda farmhouse from Sunday afternoon until Monday morning.
The Patterson-James Rockwell Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
