Services To Be At St. Joseph's Church

Peter Walsh, 88 resident of 516 N Shore Drive, Clear Lake, died at a Mason City hospital early Tuesday morning following a short illness.

He was born Aug. 27, 1863, in Durham, Canada, the son of Peter and Elinor Walsh. He was a retired automotive engineer and lived in Charles City until 1949 when he came to Mason City and made his home with his niece, Mrs. Anna Kitto, Mason City.

Surviving are a brother, Tom Walsh, Chicago, a sister, Mrs. E. R. Wade, Portland, Ore., and many nieces and nephews in the vicinity of Mason City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; parents, 6 brothers and a sister.

Mr. Walsh was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mason City, and the Elks club of Charles City.

The body wil lie in state at the Colonial funeral chapel after 4 p.m. Wednesday. The parish rosary will be said there at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic church Thursday at 7:30 a.m. with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. P.J. Malone officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart cemetery, Rockwell. The Colonial funeral home in charge.
