John W. Smith died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Halloran in Ackley last Thursday at the age of 75 years. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Saturday morning and interment made in Sacred Heart cemetery south of town.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters, William H. Smith of Rockwell, and B. J. Smith of Dougherty; Mrs. Frank [Anna Mary] Holloran of Ackley and Mrs. Wm. [Katherine] Penny of Swaledale.
