ROCKWELL — Alma D. Laudner, 80, formerly of 218 Third St., Rockwell, died Thursday morning, Aug. 11, 2011, at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Monsignor John Hemann officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, Rockwell.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at the Sacred Heart Parish Center. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Scared Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell. Alma Dell June was born to Marinus and Freida (Nielsen) Petersen in Thornton, on June 11, 1931. There were seven children born to this family.

On Sept. 17, 1948, Alma was united in marriage to Wilbert “Dugan” Laudner in the chapel at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City. Alma loved living in Rockwell as well as raising her kids and helping in the family grocery business. She enjoyed gardening and took pride in her flowers.

Survivors include her three sons: Patrick (Gretchen) Laudner, Holland, Mich., Rick (Audrey) Laudner, Rockwell, Kelly (Deb) Laudner, Rockwell; seven grandchildren: Kelli Jo (Jason) Lambrix, Brownstown, Mich.; Trent Laudner, Canal, Winchester, Ohio, David Laudner, Rockwell, Sarah Laudner, Montezuma, Tony (Renee) Laudner, Rockwell, Travis Laudner, Tucson, Ariz., Trisha (Josh) Riley, DeSoto; five great-grandchildren: Ashley Lambrix, Zach and Kylie Laudner, Tyler and Maylee Riley; and one sister, Norma Salier, Nora Springs.

Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Dugan Laudner; her parents; two sisters, Sylvia Pross and Edna Jansen; and three brothers, Harold, Edward and Elmer Petersen.
