Mrs. Latch rites to be Wednesday

Mrs. Glen (Florence) Latch, 64, died at her farm home on Route 2, Rockwell, Sunday morning [October 21, 1962]. She had lived in the Rockwell vicinity 20 years, having moved there from Klemme.

Mrs. Latch was born Nov. 2, 1897, at Goodell, daughter of Fred and Mary (Monahan) Wilkins. She was married to Glen Latch Feb. 4, 1919.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Rockwell, the Ladies Guild of Sacred Heart Church and the Royal Neighbors Lodge of Klemme.

Surviving are her husband, three sons, Elroy Latch, Charles City; Clement Latch, Rockford; and Gerald Latch, Mason City; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Gladys) Trees, Greene, and nine grandchildren.

Six sisters, Nellie Knipp, Salida, Colo.; Gertrude Brown, Spokane, Wash.; Mrs. Francis Bertrand, Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. James (Leona) Boller, Manhattan, Kan., and Alice Smith, Mankato, Minn., and two brothers, Roy Wilkins, Sioux Falls, S.D., and Ira Wilkins, Mason City, also survive. She was preceded in death by one son, a sister and her parents.

Requiem high Mass will be celebrated a 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell. The Rev. Raymond Bohrer will be celebrant. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rockwell.

Visitation will be at the Hogan-McKee Colonial Chapel in Mason City until 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Sacred Heart parish Rosary is scheduled for 8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel.

Pallbearers selected are Howard Koppen, Victor Petersen, Ray Struchen, Clyde Sawyer, George Scholl and Charles Hansen.
