Tuesday, September 05, 1950John F. (Jack) Fitzgerald, 52, Rockwell died at a local hospital Sunday night, following an illness. He had been an automobile salesman in Mason City for the past 25 years, and a resident of Rockwell for 38 years.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born March 19, 1898, at Sidney, Ill.
Surviving are his wife, Irene, four sons, J.F. Fitzgerald, Mason City; Leo Fitzgerald, Mason City, Irving Fitzgerald, Iowa City, and John E. Fitzgerald, Rockwell and three daughters the Missess Geraldine, Sharon and Kay Fitzgerald all of Rockwell.
Six brothers, James Fitzgerald, Boone; Bernard and Paul Fitzgerald, Mason City, Leo Fitzgerald, Pomona, Cal., Lawrence Fitzgerald, Rockwell, and Norbert Fitzgerald, Minneapolis, and four sisters, Mrs. Victor (Josephine) Mullaney, Mason City, Mrs. Rex (Margaret) Coulter, North Charleston, S. Carolinia, Mrs. Ray (Mary) Spillman, Salt Lake City, Utah, and Mrs. Irvin (Dorothy) Simon, Mason City, and one grandson also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
[Interment was made at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Rockwell, Iowa.]
