Frances (Fannie) Doran, 74, 641 Pennsylvania S.E., [Mason City], died at a Mason City hospital Tuesday following an illness. She had lived in Cerro Gordo County 45 years.
Mrs. Doran was born at Clayton, Dec. 21, 1878, the daughter of David and Dinah Brown. She was the 13th child in a family of 14.
Surviving are two sons, Clifford Doran, Pocatello, Idaho, and Harold Doran, Clear Lake; five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Olga) Wolcott, Rockwell; Mrs. Paul (Alice0 Van Loan, Clear Lake; Mrs. Joseph (Iva) McDonough and Mrs. Pat (Thelma) Chase, Mason City; and Mrs. Edward (Stella) Kielty, Rockwell; 13 grandchildren and two brothers, James Brown, Calmar, and John Brown, Mountain Gove, Mo.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell, and Requiem Mass will be celebrated Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church with Father Raymond Bohrer as celebrant.
Rosaries will be recited for the family and friends at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Pattrson-James Chapel, Mason City, and Thursday at 8 p.m. at the Edward Kielty home, Rockwell, where friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of services.
Burial will be at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Rockwell.
