Mrs. DeRock Service Set for Rockwell

Funeral services for Mrs. William (Sadie) DeRock, 47, Rockwell, who died Tuesday noon at a Mason City hospital, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockwell. Burial will be at the Rockwell Cemetery.

Mrs. DeRock was born July 28, 1908, at Annawan, Ill., daughter of Charles and Mathilda Engels. She had been a resident of the Rockwell community 35 years and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ladies Guild and the 500 Club of Rockwell.

She was married to William DeRock Nov. 5, 1927, at Rockwell.

Surviving are her husband, five daughters, Mrs. H. C. (Dorothy) Cahill, Hampton; Mrs. Leon (Irene) Caspersen, Rockford; Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Ermer, Rockwell; and the Misses Shirley and Dianne DeRock, at home; her mother, Mathilda Engels; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Edward Engels, Rockwell, and Harry Engels, Rudd; and a sister, Mrs. Roland (Grace) Lonergan, Mason City. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles, in January.

The Patterson-James Funeral Home is in charge.
