S. WATTS RITES TO BE THURSDAY
FUNERAL AT METHODIST CHURCH AT 3 O’CLOCK

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Shirley A. Watts, 64, who died at his home, Watts Inn, North Shore about 1 o’clock Thursday after an illness of several months, will be held at the Methodist Church at 3 o’clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Warner M> Hubbard, pastor, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Ward’s Funeral Home is in charge.

Mr. Watts was born on a farm in Lincoln Township Feb. 26, 1881, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Watts, pioneers in that community. Dec. 14, 1910, he was married to Miss Cecilia Wood of Clear Lake and to them was born one son, T/Sgt. James W. Watts, who arrived at home from overseas 3 weeks ago.

For 15 years Mr. Watts lived at Mason City and fed livestock in transit for the Northwestern railroad company. Then for 4 years he was in the implement business at Bridgewater, S. Dak., moving to Clear Lake 13 years ago. He had been in failing health 3 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

Besides his wife and son, Mr. Watts is survived by 2 brothers, C.C. Watts, Clear Lake, and Lyle Watts, Washington, D.C., and 2 sisters, Mrs. Alice Meyers, Waterloo and Mrs. C.R. O’Neil, Bellingham, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leslie J. Watts, who died at LaCrosse, Wis., Feb. 27, 1943.
