ANNA OLSON DIES AT 91; RITES SET

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Edward Olson, 91, a lifelong resident of the Ventura area, died early Monday in a Clear Lake rest home, where she had been for 4 ½ years.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Wilcox Funeral Home with Pastor E. W. Wuggazer of Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Anna Sophia Olson was born Jan. 4, 1875, at Sparta, Wis., the daughter of Lars and Lena (Benrud) Anderson. When she was about two, she came with her parents to a farm northwest of Ventura. She was married to Edward Olson in 1894 and they farmed in the same area until 1916, when they moved to Ventura. Mr. Olson was a carpenter.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Lula) Julsen, Azusa, Calif., and Mrs. John (Esther) Anderson, Ventura; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; one sister, Clara Severson, Ventura, and two brothers, C. E. Anderson, Ventura, and Oscar Anderson, Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1950 and two sons, Emmett and Milford.

The family asked that any memorials be given to the Ventura Redeemer Lutheran Church.
