AMELIA HETLAND NELSON

One of the saddest deaths that it has been the duty of the MIRROR to chronicle for some time occurred last Saturday at 10 a.m., when Mrs. Norman Nelson passed away, after a short illness of only a few hours. The news of her death came as a surprise to her most intimate friends and everywhere sincere sympathy was expressed for her bereaved husband.

Amelia, the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Hetland, was born Oct. 19, 1874 and with the exception of five years, that she lived in Chicago her life was spent in Clear Lake.

On Jan. 16, 1901, she was married to M. N. Nelson, who with her parents and eight brothers and one sister are left to mourn her. The funeral was held from the Nelson residence east of town Sunday at 1:30 p.m., and interment made in the Clear Lake Cemetery.
