PETERSEN RITES TO BE TUESDAY
SERVICES FOR AGED MAN AT WARD’S

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Nels Peter Petersen, 76, who died at the home of his niece, Mrs. Jens Wind, 208 Burden street, Saturday afternoon following a series of strokes, will be held Tuesday at 2 o’clock at Ward’s funeral home.

The Rev. Ruben Mostrom, pastor of the Zion Lutheran church, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery.

Mr. Petersen was born at Ordrup, Sjalland, Denmark, July 28, 1867, and came to America when 16 years of age, settling at Clear Lake where he spent the remainder of his life with the exception of a few years in Minnesota where he owned a farm.

He came to live at the Wind home 18 years ago in October. He had been in failing health for some time, having suffered a severe stroke 3 years ago and others since. Mr. Petersen was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in childhood.

Besides Mrs. Wind and other nieces and nephews in America, Mr. Petersen is survived by 2 sisters and a brother in Denmark, so far as is now known. He was unmarried.
