MILES RITES HELD MONDAY

Funeral rites were held Monday for Frank Miles, 84, who died at a nursing home following a long illness. The Rev. Richard Miller of the Christian Church officiated at the Wilcox Funeral Home at 2 p.m.

Mrs. Louis Treloar sang accompanied by Mrs. Holmes Pedelty. Pallbearers were Harley Francis, Ellsworth Miles, Maurice Miles, Miles Borton, Jim Anderson and Lester McClary. Burial was in the Clear lake Cemetery.

Frank Miles was born March 16, 1884, in rural Clear Lake, the son of Levi and Helen (Wilhelm) Miles. He was married to Maude Eddy on June 17, 1915, in Illinois.

The couple farmed in the Clear Lake area until retiring and moving to 909 7th Ave. N., Clear Lake.

He is survived by his wife, Maude; three daughters, Mrs. Hugh (Madelyn) Myers, Arcadia, Calif.; Mrs. James (Betty) Carson, Aurora, Ill.; and Joan Miles, San Francisco; three sons, Robert, Balboa, Calif.; William, Clear Lake, and Stanley, Milwaukee, Wis.; 15 grandchildren and a brother Ed, in Florida.

All of the children were present at the services.

Transcriber’s Note – Frank Miles was born March 16, 1884 and died May 10, 1968.
