MARGARET MONAGHEN

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Clear Lake, for Mrs. Margaret Faith Monaghen, 88, formerly of Clear Lake, who died Monday (Feb. 25, 1985) in Rogers, Ark.

The Rev. James Duster officiated and burial was held in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mrs. Monaghen was born Oct. 4, 1896 in Clear Lake, to Darwin and Ida (Beaver) Culver. She graduated from Clear Lake High School and attended Cornell College, Mount Vernon. She was married to Raymond Monaghen in 1921 and they lived in Clear Lake. In 1979 she moved to Rogers, Ark., to live with a daughter.

Mrs. Monaghen was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Clear Lake, the American Legion Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Louise) Robertson, Rogers, Ark., and Mrs. LeRoy (Margaret) Draves, Britt; three sons, Darwin and John, both of Garden Grove, Calif., and Conlan, El Toro, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearer was Frank Mullen. Pallbearers were Jack Furleigh, Lester Bisgrove, Carl Larsen, Pat Stork, Ron Wood and Duey Groath.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond, in 1954; two sons, Allan and Cleveland; and one sister, Maude.
