HOLD RITES FOR MRS. M’GRADY
THREE BROTHERS, SON SISTER FROM AWAY PRESENT AT FUNERAL

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Mrs. Charles McGrady, 73, who died Sunday evening following a long illness, were held Wednesday afternoon at the residence, 311 Clara street, with the Rev. Thomas B. Collins, pastor of the Methodist church, conducting the rites. Ward’s funeral home made the arrangements and burial was in Clear Lake cemetery.

Pallbearers were Walter Smith and Walter Leonard, Ventura, and Marinus Mortensen, Leo Elting, Lyle Bokelman and Walter Sorenson. Mrs. R.A. Monaghen sang “Jesus, Savior, Pilot Me” and “The Old Rugged Cross.”

Flowers were arranged by Mrs. Will McKibben and Mrs. Elting.

Margaret Cain was born July 13, 1868, at Ohio, Ill., and moved with her parents to Boone county , Iowa, in 1873. She grew to womanhood there and taught in the public schools for a time. The family moved to Winnebago county where Miss Cain continued to teach until her marriage to Mr. McGrady, Aug. 7, 1890.

Relatives from away attending the services were three brothers, James, George and Joseph Cain, Revillo, S. Dak.; a brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Schroeder, Marietta, Minn., and a son, Clarence, Shelby, Mont.

Mr. McGrady died April 15, 1938. Other children surviving are Ralph, Sidney and Miss Florence, Clear Lake, and Oliver, Fossil, Ore.
