J. WESLEY MCGRADY BURIED THURSDAY

Graveside services for J. Wesley McGrady, 75, 102 South street, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Clear Lake cemetery. Rev. Thos. B. Collins, pastor of the Methodist church, will be in charge. Pallbearers will be J.E. Grell, Orville Grell, J.B. Osnes, Art Bisgrove, Lester Bisgrove and Paul Van Loan.

Mr. McGrady died January 21, in Winter Haven, Fla., as the result of a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. McGrady left the first part of November for Florida to spend the winter.

He was born November 4, 1864 at Clayton county, a son of John and Anna McGrady. In 1870 he came to Clear Lake with his parents and settled on the farm occupied by John E. Grell. On March 30, 1911 he was married to Della Gardner in Clear Lake. Twenty-six years ago the couple retired and moved to Clear Lake where they have lived since. They have spent a number of winters in Florida.

The couple had no children. He is survived by his wife, one sister, Mrs. Lucie Colby, Lee, Ill., four nephews, Ralph and Oliver McGrady of Clear Lake, Sidney of Forest City and Clarence of Montana. Also two nieces, Florence McGrady of Clear Lake and Anna Mae Howard of Minneapolis.

Transcriber’s Note – J. Wesley McGrady was born November 4, 1864 and died January 21, 1940.
