TOM E. SHAY

Tom E. Shay, 21, Clear lake, died Thursday, July 20 at a Rochester Hospital from injuries received in a dump-truck accident at a construction site in Mason City.

Services were held on Saturday, July 22 at the Zion Lutheran Church, with Rev. Luverne Jacobson of Zion Lutheran officiating. Rev. Ken Wagner, of Evangelical Free Church assisted.

Mrs. Stanley Wold was the organist with the Radloff sisters presenting special music.

Interment was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Tom Edward Shay was born May 13, 1957 at Mason City, the son of Robert D. and Ruby (Anderson) Shay.

He attended the Clear Lake High School and since 1974 had been employed at the Fisher Construction Company.

Surviving him are two sisters, Mrs. Richard (Connie) Gansen, Clear Lake and Janet Shay, Nicollete, Mn. and a brother, James Shay, Nicollett, Mn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Shay had been active in the Clear Lake softball league playing for the Theiss Sporting Goods team.

Pallbearers were, Greg Copas, Rick Jenkins, Bryan Henry, Matt Larsen, Tim Jenkins, Bob Hankenson and Don Petersen.

Arrangements were by Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake.
