SERVICES AT WILCOX CHAPEL THURSDAY, 2

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Walter Smith, 71, Ventura, who died at a Mason City hospital Monday evening will be held at the Wilcox funeral chapel Thursday at 2 o’clock. The Rev. E.M. Miller, pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren church of Ventura, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born May 16, 1878, at Clear Lake, son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Owen Smith. He lived in the community all his life, farming until he retired and moved to Ventura. He never married. He entered the hospital at Mason City Saturday following a stroke suffered at his home.

Mr. Smith is survived by a brother, Homer Smith, Milaca, Minn., and a nephew, Donald Smith, Minneapolis.
