MRS. JOHN PALMETER DIES IN CALIFORNIA

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Cecil Martin has received word of the death of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Charles C. (Louise) Clay Palmeter, 84. She died Jan. 1, in a nursing home in the Berkeley, Calif., area where she had been cared for many months.

A native of Clear Lake, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Clay. She and her husband moved to California in 1942 where he preceded her in death in 1950. While a resident of Clear Lake, Mrs. Palmeter was a member of the Twentieth Century Club, PEO and the Congregational Church.

Her body was cremated. Burial will be in Clear Lake cemetery at a later date with the Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home in charge of local arrangements.

Jack Palmeter and Roy Martin are nephews.
