PLAN RITES FOR MRS. SECORY

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Mrs. L. F. Secory, 79, who died at Grand Haven, Mich., early Wednesday, will be held at the Wilcox Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p.m. Dr. E. W. Day, pastor of the Congregational Church, will conduct the rites and burial will be in the family lot in Clear Lake Cemetery. The body, accompanied by Edward and Albert Secory, will arrive from Grand Haven Saturday morning.

Mrs. Secory was born Bessie Jirelg, daughter of Anton and Josephine Jirelg, in Bohemia on Dec. 13, 1875, and came to America with her parents when 2 ½ years old. They lived at Owatonna, Minn., where she was married to Mr. Secory on Nov. 25, 1890.

They lived at Owatonna several years, at Mason City 11 years and at Grand Haven 30 years before coming to Clear Lake about six years ago where Mr. Secory died on Feb. 10, 1951.

Mrs. Secory is survived by five sons and four daughters: Mrs. Frank Bouda and Frank Secory, Mason City; Mrs. Joe Petsko, Hinckley, Minn.; Lewis Secory and Mrs. Vernon VerPlank, Spring Lake, Mich.; Miss Martha Secory, Grand Haven, Mich.; Frank Secory, Port Huron, Mich.; Otto Secory, Mitchell, S. D., and Edward Secory, Clear Lake, 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her stepmother, Mrs. Jirelg; a half-brother, Lewis Jirelg, and a half-sister, Mrs. Harry Arneth, all of Owatonna.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents and three children.
