ESSIE K. SECORY

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake, for Mrs. Essie K. Secory, 86, of 1015 S. 3rd St., Clear Lake.

She died Friday (May 1, 1987) in a Mason City hospital.

The Rev. Keith Tomlinson of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, will officiate. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 2 this afternoon at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be given to the Essie K. Secory Memorial Fund.

She was born Aug. 18, 1900, in Clear Lake, the daughter of Fred and Cora (Lambert) Kimball.

She graduated from Clear Lake High School and attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City.

On Dec. 3, 1921, she married Edward Secory in Garner.

Mrs. Secory worked for the Cerro Gordo County Courthouse for a while and later worked for her husband as a secretary for E. L. Secory and Sons Plumbing in Clear Lake.

Survivors include three sons, Larry and Ralph, both of Clear Lake, and Donald of Hemet, Calif.; a sister, Miss Delight Kimball, Cherokee; a brother, Ralph Kimball, Clear Lake; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother.
