RITES HELD FOR HELEN HESLEY
FORMER LAKER SUCCUMBED AT WILMETTE, ILL., AT MRS. MCINTOSH HOME

CLEAR LAKE, May 1 – Funeral services for Miss Helen Hesley, 76, were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church. The Rev. J.R. Tumbleson officiated.

Mrs. R.A. Monaghan sang two selections, “No Night There,” and “When They Ring Those Golden Bells,” accompanied by Mrs. Harry Mason.

Miss Hesley, who lived many years in Clear Lake, died at Wilmette, Ill., at the home of Mrs. Rose McIntosh with whom she has lived for a number of years. Burial was made in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Relatives at the funeral included Miss Hesley’s brother, Henry Hesley and family of Britt, a brother, John Hesley, and niece, Lucille, Mitchell, S. Dak., and cousin, Mrs. John E. Grell, Clear Lake. Mrs. Walter McIntosh of Wilmette, Ill., accompanied the body here and attended the funeral.

Other out of town visitors at the funeral were Miss Anna Tuttle, Mrs. Frank Tuttle and Mrs. Rush Smith, Spencer.

Pallbearers were W.F. Rich, J.C. Davenport, J.F. Palmeter, Joe Palmer and D.H. Culver.

Transcriber’s Note – Helen Hesley was born January 20, 1856, died April 26, 1933 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section 3 Row 12.
