FARM WOMAN DIES AT LAKE

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Ben Skadeland, 78, Route 2, died Thursday after a long illness. She died at 712 S. 12th St., where she was being cared for.

Surviving her are her husband, two sisters, Belle Frey, Clear Lake, and Elsie Hustad, St. Paul, and two brothers, Edward Olson, Houston, Tex., and Charles Olson, Freeport, La.

Anna Amelia Olson was born Dec. 13, 1878, in Lake Township, the daughter of Ole and Bergetta Olson. She was married to Bernard (Ben) Skadeland on April 22, 1908, at Clear Lake. They have farmed four miles southeast of Clear Lake. She was graduated from Clear Lake High School and was a member of the Methodist Church, the W.S.C.S., W.C.T.U. and the W.L.A.M. Club, a rural women’s organization in Lake Township.

Preceding her in death were one sister, and five brothers.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Ward Funeral Home.
