FUNERAL RITES ARE SATURDAY

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Hans (Fronia) Scott, 85, longtime Clear Lake resident, died Thursday afternoon in a Mason City nursing home following a long illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home with the Rev. August Geske, Zion Lutheran Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mrs. Scott was born July 30, 1886, on a farm near Garner, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah (Gilman) Fuller. She attended rural schools in the area and following the death of her mother, she remained at home to care for the rest of the family.

She was married to Hans Scott July 3, 1912 at Klemme. They came to the Clear Lake area in 1929 and farmed until retirement in 1957. Mr. Scott died in 1963. Mrs. Scott had been in the nursing home several years.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John (Leona) Wilkinson, Wood Lake, Minn.; Mrs. Don (Esther) Major, Clear Lake.; Mrs. Allen (Evelyn) Skjeie, Chatfield, Minn.; Mrs. Omer (Irene) Kelley, Goodell; four sons, Willard, Clear Lake; Eldo and Harold, Orchard, and Raymond, Shafer, Minn.; 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Grandsons will be pallbearers. Mrs. Harry Mason will be the organist and Mr. and Mrs. R. Laudner and Mr. and Mrs. S. Kramer, the vocalists.
