MRS. SAM SCOTT BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL FRIDAY.

The remains of Mrs. Sam Scott, of Des Moines were brought here for burial last Friday in the Clear Lake Cemetery. She and her husband were residents here for many years previous to 1896, when they moved away to Des Moines. Mr. Scott worked here for several years at the Mirror office. He and Clint Davis were boyhood friends and their meeting again here last Thursday was an enjoyable one as they recalled many events in which they participated. Mr. Scott, in recent years, has been engaged in the insurance business. He well remembered the Reporter editor who located here shortly before he moved to Des Moines.

Surviving are her husband, Samuel G. Scott, two sons, Oliver W. Scott, and Le Roy Prather, both of Des Moines; one brother, Wesley N. Hill, Sr., Clear Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Rosetta Cleven, Waterloo, Ia.; and Mrs. Hattie Cline, Long Beach, Cal.; and three grandchildren.

Transcriber’s Note – Mary A. Scott was born April 17, 1865 and died July 26, 1944.
