DONALD M. SCOTT RITES ARE FRIDAY

CLEAR LAKE – Donald M. Scott, 56, Green Meadows Trailer Court, died Tuesday evening at a Mason City nursing home where he had been the last three weeks. He had been the owner of Silver Boot Drive-In since 1966 and was a former owner of the Silver Boot Motel, now owned and operated by his son.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery, Alexander. Visitation will be at Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice, a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Cheryl) Barkema, Meservey, and two sons, Dennis, Mason City, and Danny, Clear Lake; seven grandchildren; a brother, Willard, Alexander; two sisters, Mrs. Sam (Bernice) Franks, Escondido, Calif., and Mrs. Jay (Bernetta) Burman, Hansell.
