C. A. BAST, 70 VICTIM OF HEART ATTACK SUNDAY
FUNERAL HELD WEDNESDAY AT GARNER; HIS WIFE PASSED AWAY IN 1925

C. A. Bast, 70 years old, died at the home of his son, Clarence, south of Ventura on Sunday evening from a heart attack.

He was born in Carroll county, Illinois in 1872 and spent a number of years farming near Garner.

His wife preceded him in death in 1925. He has made his home with his son, Clarence, most of the time since his wife’s death.

He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Josie Thompson of Mason City, Mayme Brennan of Manly and 2 sons, Ray F., of Clear Lake and Clarence of Ventura. He also leaves six grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Dave Good of Baker, Mont., and Mrs. Joe White of Shannon, Ill.

The funeral was held Wednesday at Garner.
