ERNEST NELSON, 74, DIES AT BURCHINAL

Ernest D. Nelson, 74, died of a heart attack at his home in Burchinal on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 1 p.m. Rev. Paul Peterson conducted the funeral services at 2 p.m. and interment was in the Clear Lake cemetery.

Coming to the United States from Denmark in 1888, Mr. Nelson made his residence at Sergeant Bluffs, Iowa. There he met and married Carrie Nelson in 1896. From there he moved to Clear Lake and has been living at Burchinal for the last 49 years.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Willard of Burchinal; and George of Mankato, Minn.; sister, Mrs. L.C. Nelson of Elk Point, S.D., and other brothers and sisters, who are living in Denmark.

Pallbearers at the funeral were Elmer Rosburg, Amel Broes, Mel Evans, Paul Paulson, Carl Christiansen and W.D. Conns. Mrs. Paul Peterson was soloist at the services.
