ADA FORD DIES AT 89

CLEAR LAKE – Mrs. Orville (Ada) Ford, 89, formerly of 906 South 8th Street, died Saturday in a Clear Lake nursing home where she had been many years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Osthus Funeral Home with the Rev. Worthie K. Usher, pastor of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ada Pearl Ford was born Dec. 19, 1882, in Afton, the daughter of Reuben and Adeline (Herr) Nauman. She was educated in rural schools near Afton. She was married to Orville E. Ford and they moved to Clear Lake in 1922. They were engaged in farming.

Mrs. Ford is survived by one brother, Roland Nauman, Des Moines; six grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966; one son, Donald Rex; and one daughter, Cleone Zimmer.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Clear Lake.

Pallbearers will be Dale Newell, Glenn Westover, James Ransom, Leo Geary, and David and Donald Zimmerer. Organist will be Mrs. Harry Mason and soloist, Mrs. Donald Kacer.

Visitation will be at the Osthus Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Monday.
