WAYNE H. CROZIER DIED TUES. SEP. 11
FOLLOWING AN OPERATION FOR APPENDICITIS – FUNERAL WAS HELD AT THE CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, THURSDAY

Wayne Harthan Crozier, the little five year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Crozier, passed away at the Park Hospital, Mason City, last Tuesday afternoon, following an operation for appendicitis. The operation, however was a success, but internal hemorrhages, due to other weaknesses, was assigned as the cause of his death.

For two or three weeks Wayne had been ill. At last, as an only hope, an operation was advised by his physician.

Wayne was born Sept. 23, 1923 in Union township. He was a favorite with everyone who came in contact with him. The parents very keenly felt their great loss and the deepest sympathy is extended.

The funeral was held Thursday afternoon at the Congregational church, Rev. W. B. Milne in charge of the services.

Those from away to attend the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Bert Scherf of Cohassett, Minn. and Mrs. Jim Scherf of Clear Lake, Wisc.

Transcriber’s Note – The above news clippings appear to conflict on the father’s name and date of birth, however the headstone reads, “Wayne H. son of L.M. & L.E. Crozier Sept. 30, 1923 – Sept. 11, 1928.”
