Miss Donahue Rites Incomplete

Miss Ellen Nellie Donahue, 80, retired telephone operator of 304 Carolina, S.E., died early Wednesday at a Mason City hospital. She had been a telephone operator in Mason City and was a former chief operator of the telephone system at Bancroft.

Miss Donahue was born Sept 10, 2876, in Alamakee County, daughter of Cornelius and Catherine (Tracy) Donahue. She came to Mason City in 1942.

Surviving are two sisters, Miss Johanna Donahue, and Mrs. Dan Durkin, both of Mason City; two brothers, Thomas Donahue, Mason City, and Donald Donahue of Bell, Calif.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and a member of the Ladies' Tabernacle Society of St. Joseph's Church. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Colonial Funeral Home is in charge.
