LUTHERAN CHURCH RITES FOR MRS. BANNISTER

Mrs. Lynn (Elaine) Bannister, 51, Janesville, Wisconsin and former Clear Lake resident died Thursday evening of injuries in a single car accident near Ossian, Ia. Mrs. Bannister was born Elaine Marilyn Kimball, June 25, 1924, Albert Lea, Minn. She was the daughter of Floyd and Ruth (Olson) Kimball.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bannister were Monday, May 10, at the Zion Lutheran Church with Pastor Luverne Jacobson, officiating. Organist, Mrs. A. E. Folkmann. Interment was in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mrs. Bannister was a graduate of Clear Lake High School. She was married to Lynn Bannister, May 27, 1967, at Mason City and had lived in Janesville for the past five years and planned to return to Clear Lake.

She is survived by her husband Lynn and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kimball, Clear Lake. Two daughters, Colleen Dorgan and Mrs. Gale (Patricia) Courrier, both of Janesville. One son, James Dorgan, Albert Lea, Minn. and one grandson, Brian Courrier. Two sisters, Mrs. Lola Barnes, Golds, Colo. And Mrs. Bonnie Edgar, Clear Lake.

Pallbearers were: Gene Sherman, Mike Secory, John Marsh, Don Secory, Tom Secory and Paul Reichardt. Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Home was in charge.

Transcriber’s Note – Elaine Bannister was born June 25, 1924, died May 1976 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section E Row 1.
