O. Mendenhall Service at IOOF Chapel

Orval Emmett Mendenhall, 83, of the IOOF Homes, Mason City, died at a hospital Monday following an illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the IOOF Homes in Mason City with the Rev. Clair Hicks officiating.

Born Feb. 19, 1870, in Wayne County, Mr. Mendenhall had spent a large part of his life in Sac City before moving to the home Nov. 9, 1952. He was a retired barber and member of Chattaqua Lodge 121 of Humeston.

Surviving are his wife, Eva M. Mendenhall, of the IOOF Homes in Mason City, and daughter, Helen B. Marvin, Harrow, Ontario, Canada.

Interment will be at the IOOF Memorial Cemetery. The McAuley and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
