Colbert L. Butterfield dies at 91

Colbert L. (Bert) Butterfield, 91, died Sunday morning at a Mason City nursing home. He had lived in Mason City 10 years and had made his home at 22 Adams Sw.

Mr. Butterfield was born Sept. 5, 1870, at Goodell, son of Oscar and Edith (Eddy) Butterfield.

Surviving are two sons, Colbert Butterfield, Jr., Mason City, and Harold Butterfield, Apoka, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Lee (Evelyn) Luick and Mrs. Glenn (Marguerite) Fleming, both of Mason City, and Edith Rummens, Davenport, 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and one daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McAuley-Scanlan-Peterson Funeral Chapel. Dr. Geroge Truman Carl, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will oficiate. Burial will be in the Amsterdam Cemetery at Goodell.
