CLEAR LAKE – Sally A. Burdick, 94, of Clear Lake, Iowa died Saturday (April 11, 1998) at the Oakwood Care Center, Clear Lake.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Fred Lewis officiating.

Ward-Van Slyke Funeral Chapel, 101 N. Fourth St., Clear Lake, is in charge of arrangements.

Sally was born July 26, 1903, in Bergen, Norway, the daughter of Lars and Anna Marie (Bertelson) Anderson. She came to America at the age of 4.

Sally lived in Mason City until 1965, then she moved to Clear Lake. In 1980 she resided with her daughter Barbara Ransom and her husband, Jim.

Sally once owned a restaurant in Mason City, known as Sally’s Café; she was noted for great coconut cream pies.

Sally is survived by her son-in-law, Jim Ransom, of Clear Lake, Iowa; daughter, Bonnie Fazano, of East Liverpool, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; two sisters; her daughter, Barbara Ransom; and three husbands.
