MRS. BRAHENY DIES AT HOME
SERVICES TO BE AT ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCHMrs. Margaret Braheny, 66, widow of J. J. Braheny, formerly of Mason City and Clear Lake, died at her home in Milwaukee, Wis., Sunday.
She was born Margaret Carroll at Clinton, Wis., July 4, 1881, and was married to James J. Braheny in Appleton, Wis., June 28, 1905. They came to Mason City in 1913 where she resided until moving to Clear Lake. She moved to Milwaukee in 1942.
Surviving are 7 children, Mrs. R. C. Hickey and Barry Braheny, Mason City; James C. Braheny, Clear Lake; Betty and Steve Braheny and Mrs. Aldwin Ellis, Milwaukee, and Jerry Braheny, Washington, D. C., and 6 grandchildren, Dennis and Patrick Hickey and Joan, Johnny, Danny and Mary Braheny.
Two sisters, Mrs. Gene Cook and Mrs. William Butler, Appleton, Wis., and 4 brothers, Glen Carroll, Appleton, Wis.; Emery Carroll, Los Angeles, Cal.; Frank Carroll, Chicago, and Gerald Carroll, Liberal, Kans., also survive.
While in Mason City Mrs. Braheny was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic church.
The body will arrive in Mason City at the Milwaukee station at 4 a.m. Tuesday and will be taken to the Meyer funeral home and will lie in state until the time of services.
Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic church Wednesday at 9 a.m. Burial will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery.
The Tabernacle society will say the Rosary at the Meyer funeral home at 4 p.m., Tuesday. The parish Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. The C. D. of A. will say the Rosary at 10 p.m.
The Meyer funeral home is in charge.
