BOULINE SERVICES HELD TODAY AT CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Funeral services for Mrs. C. A. Bouline, 58, who died at a Mason City hospital Sunday evening, were held Wednesday. Mrs. Bouline sustained a basal skull fracture as a result of a fall on the sidewalk at her home, 14 S. Shore Dr., Saturday. She had left work at the police station, across the street from her home, about midnight.

The Rev. William Dilsaver officiated at the Christian Church at 2 p.m. Mrs. Robert Tanner and Mrs. L.M. Treloar sang “In the Garden” accompanied by Mrs. Rudy Alman at the organ. Flowers were arranged by Mrs. Fred Huber and Mrs. J.C. Norris.

Pallbearers were John Van Loan, Leonard Cash, Art Butts, W.O. Ward, L.E. Jacobson and V.M. Wallis. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Gladys Leora Bouline was born Sept. 17, 1905, at Webster City, the daughter of A. E. and Nellie (Houck) Kimmel. She was graduated from Mason City High School, attended State College of Iowa, and taught country school near Clear Lake for about 5 years.

She was married to Charles A. Bouline at Northwood Feb. 11, 1927. They lived at Clear Lake where he operated a shoe shop until 1937. In 1947 they operated the Maid-Rite Café. For the past three years she had been employed as radio operator at the police station.

Survivors include one son, Capt. William C. Bouline, Hunter Air Force Base, Savannah, Ga., who arrived home Sunday evening; two daughters, Mrs. David (Patricia) Klinge and Mrs. DuWayne (Neva) Bitker, both of Clear Lake; five grandchildren; one brother, Harold Kimmel, Marshalltown, and two sisters, Mrs. Ellis Knowles, Manly, and Mrs. Eugene Ross, Britt. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1956.
