RETIRED MAIL CARRIER DIES

CLEAR LAKE – Everett Wooldridge, 54, died at Dunedin, Fla., on New Year’s Day. He had been in poor health for the last 2 ½ years.

He served as a city carrier for the Clear lake Post Office for 31 years, retiring in January 1957. Mr. Wooldridge carried the north and south shore walking route most of the time during his active service.

Everett Otis Wooldridge, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Otis T. Wooldridge, was born March 5, 1904 at Clear Lake. He attended the Clear Lake schools. He was married to Miss Susie Kinsella of Mason City. They have since lived in Clear Lake.

Recently they have been living in the Paulson Trailer Camp in Clear Lake, going south for the winter months. At the time of his death they were living in a trailer court at Palm Harbor, Fla.

Surviving are his wife, two sisters, Mable Downey, Los Angeles and Mrs. Royal (Virginia) Barlow, Paradise, Calif., and one brother, Floyd Wooldridge, Des Moines.

Mrs. Wooldridge will arrive Sunday accompanied by her husband’s body. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday until services are held. Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of Mrs. Wooldridge, who will remain with her sister, Mrs. Howard M. Johnson, 208 Mars Hill Dr., for the present.
