RITES SET FOR NETTIE WORDEN, 71

CLEAR LAKE – Nettie Worden, 71, died suddenly Wednesday noon in west Clear Lake.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church with the Rev. John DeLong officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. The Ward Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Nettie Pearl Ebaugh, July 12, 1891, at Fertile to Lewis and Hattie (Deuel) Ebaugh. She attended schools in Fertile. She was married to Roscoe Worden July 24, 1912, at the Fertile Christian Church and they farmed east of there until 1924 when they moved to Clear Lake. He was employed by the Knutson Hardware 16 years.

After his death she continued to make her home in Clear Lake and since 1941 has been housekeeper for Clarence Draves. She was employed at the Lake Shore Hotel from 1931 to 1941.

Survivors include one son, Raymond, Spirit Lake, and one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Dorothy) Rube, Sheffield; three brothers, Stanley Ebaugh, Forest City, and Leroy and Raymond Ebaugh, both of Clear Lake; one sister, Mrs. Samuel Severson, Clear Lake, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and one grandchild.

Transcriber’s Note – Nettie Pearl Worden was born July 12, 1891, died 1962 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section E Row 10.
