MIKE WRISBERG KILLED IN CYCLE CRASH

Michael P. Wrisberg, 18, 200 N. Shore Drive, died Tuesday evening, Oct 12, after his motorcycle hit a tree in Clear Lake.

The Iowa Highway Patrol said he apparently was attempting to adjust the machine. He lost control of the vehicle and it hit the tree, causing head injuries.

He died at a Mason City hospital within the hour. The accident occurred about 6 p.m.

The young man, son of Mrs. Jack Palmeter, was on his supper break from the Twi-Light Manufacturing Co., Clear Lake, where he was employed part time.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Congregational Church with the Rev. Kenneth Ubbelohde officiating. Burial was in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Michael Peter Wrisberg was born June 5, 1953, at Mather Air Force Base, Sacramento, Calif., the son of John H. and Ethel (Simonsen) Wrisberg.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Ethel and Jack Palmeter; a brother, Gregory Wrisberg, Clear Lake; and a paternal grandmother, Emma Wrisberg, Clear Lake. He was preceded in death by a brother, John H. Wrisberg III on Jan. 16, 1968, while serving in Vietnam.
