CLEAR LAKE –Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Marie Oswald, 88, 121 N. 15th St., Clear Lake, who died Monday (May 17, 1982) at a Mason City hospital, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake.

The Rev. Keith Tomlinson will officiate and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, Clear Lake. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 – 9 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Oswald was born in 1893 in Sola, Norway, the daughter of Sikyel and Ingeborg Gimre. She came to the United States in 1917 and worked at a hospital in Austin, Minn., before her marriage to Sig Oswald in 1918 in Minnesota. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake.

Survivors include her husband, Sig; two daughters, Mrs. Chad (Jennie) Baker, Clear Lake and Mrs. Swen (Inga) Nordaas, Ventura; two sons, Gordon, Brownsdale, Minn., and Alf, Clear Lake; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Rage, Anna Gimre and Clara Sola, all of Norway and one brother, Sigwart Gimre, of Norway.
