Miller - On Saturday, June 17, occurred the death of Peter Paulson, long time resident of Hancock county.

Peter Paulson was born at Osage, Nov 18, 1866. He was the son of Mary Brager and Ole Paulson. He came to Hancock county with his parents when he was 9 years of age and settled on a farm where he his resided for 60 years. Since then he has lived a great part of the time at the home off his daughter, Mrs. J. B. 0sness, Clear Lake.

On Dec. 18, 1888, he was married to Martha Halvorson of St. Olaf, at Garner. To this union two daughters, Ella and Beulah, were born. His daughter Ella passed away Oct. 18, 1922, and his wife Jan. 3, 1934.

He was a life member of Ellington Prairie Lutheran church. He passed away at the age of 72 years, 7 months and 9 days at a Mason, City hospital, June 17, 1939, after a lingering illness.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. B. Osness and two granddaughters, Marlis and Berniece, of Clear Lake; one, sister, Mrs. A. H. Halverson, Miller; four brothers, T. 0. Paulson and Gabe Paulson of Miller, Anton Paulson, Jasper, Minn., and Ole Paulson, Allentown, Pa.; two half sisters, Carrie and Julia Brager and a brother, Bennet Paulson, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at Ellington Prairie Lutheran church Monday with the Rev. C. B. Gunderson officiating.

Pall bearers were Oscar Anderson, Walter Leonard, Henry Hollatz, all of Ventura; Oliver Brager and P. O. Halverson of Clear Lake and E. B. Larson of Miller.
