FUNERAL SERVICES FOR JAMES SNEESBY HELD SUNDAY P.M.

Funeral services for James W. Sneesby, who passed away at Cherokee, Friday night, were held at the Ward Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Roy Cox, pastor of the M. E. Church.

Mrs. R. A. Monaghen sang “Abide With me” and “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere,” accompanied by Mrs. Harry Mason at the piano. Burial was made in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Sneesby was born in Houston, Minn., July 16, 1864. He moved with his parents to Stanhope, Ia., when a small boy, where he lived until 1892, when he moved to Mason City, where he was married to Maggie Cannon. They made their home on a farm near Mason City until 1924 when they moved to Clear lake, where they since resided on East State Street.

Mr. Sneesby took a great interest in politics and was candidate for mayor four years ago. He has been in poor health the past two years.

He is survived by his wife and a number of relatives. One son, Perry, preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were old friends and neighbors.
