ANNIE M. HOLLATZ

CLEAR LAKE – Annie Marie Hollatz, 73, 107 Orchard Lane, died Thursday (Sept. 29, 1988) at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mason City, of natural causes.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Evangelical Free Church, Clear Lake, with the Rev. Patrick Clinton officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the Annie Hollatz Memorial Fund. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., Clear Lake.

She was born on Sept. 28, 1915, near Joice, a daughter of Andrew and Emma Marie Lein, and attended country school in the Joice area.

She married Glenn Severson and lived in Clear Lake where she worked with her husband in Severson Excavating Company. He died in 1962.

She married LeRoy Hollatz on February 5, 1966, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Ventura. They lived in Clear Lake

She was a member of the Birthday Club, Clear Lake Christian Women’s Club, and the Evangelical Free Church.

Survivors include her husband, LeRoy, Clear Lake; one daughter, Mrs. Sandra Aceto, Des Moines; one son, Vern Severson, Clear Lake; two stepsons, Stephen Hollatz, Chicago, and Gary Hollatz, Garner; and five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband and five brothers.
