FUNERAL OF W.H. ROSEMOND HELD MONDAY AFTERNOON
PASSES AWAY AT PARK HOSPITAL FOLLOWING 10 DAYS ILLNESS.

Funeral services for W.H. Rosemond were held at the Congregational church Monday afternoon with the Rev. Homer E. Blough, pastor, in charge and the Rev. W.B. Milne, former Clear Lake pastor now at Muscatine, assisting.

Mrs. F. E. DeMott played several piano selections preceding the services and at the close. Mrs. Ralph Ingersoll and Mrs. L. E. Ashland were in charge of the flowers.

Wilmer H. Rosemond, son of William E. and Caroline Baumgartner Rosemond, was born June 27, 1867 in Taylorsville, Ill. He passed away at the Park Hospital, Mason City, Iowa, Saturday, May 8th, 1937, following a ten days illness.

In 1880 the Rosemond family moved from Taylorsville to Independence, Iowa. In 1892 W. H. Rosemond came to Clear Lake as pharmacist at the J. L. Etzel drug store. For the past few years he has been assistant at the Ward furniture store. On October 5, 1897 he married Miss Alma Halvorson, daughter of the late John Halvorson. To this union on daughter, Jeanette, was born. Mrs. Rosemond passed away September 1, 1935.

In the passing of Mr. Rosemond, Clear Lake loses another splendid citizen. His innumerable friends will miss the cheery greeting and friendly smile which for many years had added sunshine to our business streets. His good sportsmanship in meeting uncomplainingly the problems that came his way demonstrated a splendid sincere philosophy characteristic of his life.

In May, 1892 Mr. Rosemond was raised to the degree of Master Mason and has continued his membership in the Masonic Order for forty-five years. He was also a member of the Knights of Pythias of Clear Lake.

Mr. Rosemond is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Aurdal of Clear Lake; four sisters, Mrs. M.C. Mackin of Clear Lake, Mrs. A. M. Donnan of Hudson, Mrs. Sade Voldeng and Miss Mayme Rosemond of Des Moines, two nieces and four nephews. A brother, Charles, preceded him in death in August 1917.

Pallbearers were E. W. Winnie, Steve Stephenson, Charles Huey, B. H. Matthews, W. H. Orr, John Siesseger, W. H. Ward, funeral director. Out of respect to the memory of the deceased all business houses were closed during the funeral.

Relatives and friends from out of town who were in attendance at the funeral were Mrs. Sade Voldeng and Miss Mayme Rosemond, Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Donnan, Mr. and Mrs. P. D. Rosemond, Hudson; Miss Helen Mackin and Mr. Harold Nichol, Ames; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Halvorson, St. Ansgar; Mrs. Mary Aurdal, Mr. M. E. Aurdal, Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Reyerson, Northwood.

Interment was made in the local cemetery.
