LOVELLE S. HUBER

Funeral services for Lovelle S. Huber, 74, 204 5th Ave. N., Clear Lake, were held Dec. 20 at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Carlson officiating.

Mrs. Huber died Dec. 18 following a lingering illness. She was born Nov. 6, 1905, to Clement and Emma Stokes Sears in Greencastle, Mo. She attended Mason City High School and was employed at Beechcraft Airplane Company in Wichita, Kan., during the war. She married Fred J. Huber Jan. 10, 1942 in Wichita and they moved to Clear Lake in 1946.

She was then employed by the Clear Lake Mirror Reporter until she retired in 1963. Mrs. Huber was a member of the United Methodist Church and Circle 6, the Clear Lake Sorosis Club, Tina Rebekah Lodge 105 of Clear Lake, and Past Noble Grand and past state president of daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War (DUV).

Rebekah Lodge services were held Dec. 19 at the Ward Van Slyke Colonial Chapel. Interment was in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Memorials should be given to the Lovelle S. Huber Memorial Fund.

Survivors include her husband, Fred; two brothers, Tilman Sears, Clear Lake, and Guymon Sears, Mason City; and one sister, Mrs. Viva Beatrice Dyre, Rockwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.

Mary Jane Reynolds was the organist for the service and Betty Becker the soloist. Pallbearers were William Bickford, Denny Currier, John T. Sears, Duane Huff, Russell Rippen, Eugene Huber and James R. Dyre.

Transcriber’s Note – Lovelle S. Huber was born November 6, 1905, died December 18, 1979 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section B Row 12.
