ALBERT H. HUBER

CLEAR LAKE – Albert H. Huber, 86, rural Clear Lake, died Tuesday (Feb. 24, 1987) at a Mason City nursing home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 112 N. 4th St., Clear Lake. The Rev. Keith Tomlinson will officiate with burial in the Clear Lake Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 2, 1900, in rural Ventura to Henry and Mary (Stork) Huber. He attended Union Township school and started work in road construction. He later returned to Clear Lake and farmed north of Clear Lake.

On Feb. 28, 1947, he was married to Mandella Johannessen at Mason City. They had lived on their rural Clear Lake farm for the last 35 years.

Mr. Huber was a former member of the Order of Moose Lodge in Mason City and performed with Al Huber and Orchestra, which was disbanded in 1950. He retired from farming in 1968.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, and the Farm Bureau. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Ward-Van Slyke Colonial Chapel, 101 N. 4th St., and at the church before the service.

Survivors include his wife, Mandella; three sons, Robert Johannessen, Bertha, Minn.; Allen Johannessen, Naperville, Ill., and Eugene Huber, Clear Lake; one brother, Fred Huber, Clear Lake; 13 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.
