KEITH HOLT

Keith Holt, 66, of 810 N. 7th St., Clear Lake, died Dec. 8 in a Mason City hospital.

He was born in 1916 in Minneapolis, and raised in the Clear Lake area. He was a 1935 graduate of Clear Lake High School and worked on the Alaskan Highway for two years. He had been employed by Folkmann’s Dairy, Clear Lake, and was a county milk inspector. For 25 years he worked for Orkin Exterminating Co.

Holt was also a plant manager and seed corn buyer for Imperial Seed Company. He retired in 1978.

Mr. Holt was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, where he was a trustee and head usher.

During the last few years, he has spent his summers in the family cabin on Longville, Minn.

Survivors include his wife, Marian (Eliasen) Holt of Clear lake; two daughters, Bonnie (Mrs. Robert) Hewitt of New Hope, Minn., and Judy (Mrs. Tom) Truex of Eden Prairie, Minn.; one son, John Holt of Blaine, Minn.; five grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth (Mrs. Alfred) Zirbel of Clear Lake and Frankie (Mrs. Lou) Bowcock of Mason City.

Services for Mr. Holt were held Dec. 13 at Zion Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, with burial in Clear Lake Cemetery. The Ward-Van Slyke colonial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Officiating at the services were Rev. Keith Tomlinson and the Rev. Mark Jolivette. Louise Folkmann served as organist, and Larry and Kathy Shaffer sang a duet.

Honorary Pallbearers were Lloyd Johnson, Chris Caspersen, Warren Petersen, Edwin Estergard, Frank Baker and Warren Jensen.

Pallbearers were Tom Nelson, Shelby Pierce, Don Luscomb, Virgil Knorr, Duane Huey and Merlin Johnson.

The family requests memorial contributions be given to the Leukemia Society.

Transcriber’s Note – Keith Holt was born July 9, 1916, died December 8, 1982 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section G Row 2.
