PLAN RITES FOR ANDREW J. HUGH
LONG TIME RESIDENT OF VICINITY SURVIVED BY FOUR BROTHERS

CLEAR LAKE – Funeral services for Andrew J. Hugh, 69, who died at a Mason City hospital Saturday evening following an illness of three weeks, will be held at Williams funeral home at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon. The Rev. Thomas Collins, pastor of the Methodist church, will conduct the rites and burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery. Members of the Masonic order will hold a service at the grave.

Mr. Hugh was born in Delaware county Nov. 18, 1870, the son of Ashton and Mary Haigh Hugh, and moved to the vicinity of Clear Lake with his parents when 6 years of age. He lived upon a farm until 21 years ago when he moved with his brothers and sister to Clear Lake where he has since resided.

Mr. Hugh, who had been at the hospital five days, was a member of both Odd Fellows and Masonic orders.

Surviving Mr. Hugh are four brothers, Thomas, Conova, S. Dak., George, 1001 South Fourth street, and Oscar and Frank, 703 South Oak street. Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, William, and two sisters, Mrs. George Oxley and Miss Elizabeth Hugh.

Transcriber’s Note – Andrew J. Hugh was born November 18, 1870, died November 11, 1939 and was buried in the Clear Lake Cemetery, Section A Row 5.
