GEORGE HUGH DIES AT HOME
AGED RESIDENT HAS 3 SONS IN SERVICE

CLEAR LAKE – George Hugh, 80, died at his home, 1001 South Fourth Street, Tuesday morning following an illness of a week. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but the rites will be held Thursday afternoon at Williams’ funeral home. Burial will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.

Mr. Hugh was born in Delaware County Jan. 11, 1863, and had lived in Clear Lake since March, 1876. March 8, 1911, he was married to Miss Minnie Spilman who survives.

To them were born three sons who also survive. They are Pvt. Ashton Hugh, now in Australia; Pvt. Leslie Hugh, now in North Africa, and Pfc. Max Hugh, Fort Bliss, Texas, who arrived unexpectedly Sunday on furlough.

Mr. Hugh is also survived by three brothers, Tom Hugh, Canova, S. Dak., and Oscar and Frank, Clear Lake. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and William, and two sisters, Mrs. George Oxley and Miss Elizabeth Hugh.
